Approvals & Layaways
Merchandise may be taken out “on approval” from Olivia’s Fashions for a period of 24 hours to facilitate shopping for elderly or disabled customers or to allow shoppers to determine whether items will suit their current wardrobe needs. * Note: the time period may be extended under certain circumstances.
Merchandise to be purchased may be held on ”layaway” for a maximum of 60 days, with a minimum initial deposit of $20.00. If the customer does not complete the purchase, all deposits received by Olivia’s Fashions will be non-refundable.
Funeral Care
The loss of a beloved friend or family member is a very traumatic event in our lives. It is during these stressful times that we often have to make difficult and timely decisions.
At Olivia’s Fashions, we recognize the needs of individuals and families with regard to choosing appropriate clothing for a wake or funeral, for themselves or for the deceased. We are experienced in dealing with these issues and offer funeral care services.
These services include:
- assisting customers in making fashion choices
- placing special orders, with over-night delivery, from some of our suppliers
- extending our hours of operation or opening by appointment (outside of our normal hours) to conveniently provide our assistance.
- under some circumstances we may take garments to a customer’s home for approval or deliver purchases to a funeral home
Fashion Shows
At Olivia’s Fashions, we have extensive experience in planning and producing fashion shows. If your group or organization in PEI would be interested in hosting a fashion show as:
- a fund-raising event
- to compliment a meeting or mixer
- or just for fun!
